I first met Mickey when he was with Magellan EAP – he was the instructor for our annual Harassment Awareness program. Everyone enjoyed his training style so we brought him back again for a Change Management program for our management team. Since that time, I’ve followed Mickey’s career progress into the coaching arena. I think his work experience, personal enthusiasm and academic background bring excellent value to his clients – including myself and my husband! My employer also engaged Mickey to coach two members of his management team during times of difficult transitions. Our Leadership and Organizational Development team contracted The Workplace Coach to conduct a basic coaching skills workshop to support action planning around our employee engagement survey results.  Mickey clearly understood our needs.  The program that was designed provided a great foundation upon which Mickey and Debbie built the participants’ skills through monthly coaching calls.   Their knowledge and skills lent credibility to the process.  Their profound empathy for the difficulty of mastering these skills and sensitivity toward the participants allowed them to test and grow their confidence and abilities.  I highly recommend and look forward to working with Mickey and The Workplace Coach consultants.

Excellent!  Wealth Enhancement Group utilized Mickey to help us build a strong relationship foundation within our newly formed Executive Leadership Team through the use of DISC.  It was a great experience.  The workshop Mickey conducted via a conference call kept all the participants deeply involved and because of his great facilitating skills, it felt as though Mickey was here!

The first experience that Wealth Enhancement Group had made us come back for more!  We are using Mickey to help in additional areas in our organization such as the selection process of new employees into existing teams.  Because of the strong interaction between Mickey and the stakeholders, we believe new synergies have been formed and the new team (employee and manager) become productive more quickly and with less conflict…and that affects the bottom line! While Debbie has a master’s touch in getting individuals to work as a team, her real strength has been in coaching me to be a better leader, team member and role model.   I had not previously worked with an Executive Coach before Debbie but the experience has been rewarding for me personally and for my Executive team who all know her and value her guidance and counsel.

Our executive team had difficulty understanding how to work together effectively all the time. Mickey and his team were instrumental in providing a non threatening atmosphere and allowing the team to learn how best to build their professional relationships. The Workplace coach consultants performed exactly as I had desired.

The team functions much better together now that they understand themselves and each other. This experience was the desired outcome and I would recommend this group to do similar work, they are very professional.

Overall, I thought the Leadership Essentials training and Certified Leader Coach process was outstanding. The information was good (I have a whole notebook full of notes), the experiences were useful and the process was thought provoking both with respect to how I could use the information to improve my skills/behavior and also for leading me to become introspective and learn more about myself and my own blind spots.  I have seen a marked change in our leadership team as a result of their having participated in this program.  Our meetings are running more efficiently and coworker conflict is being managed more effectively. We will definitely be recommending The Workplace Coach to our corporate clients!
